✨Prayers for the Land ✨
I have learned so much about praying this past month.
I have prayed more in the past three weeks then any other time in my life.
When the fires came to our valley- I prayed. I brought my children out on to the Land.
We stood with our bare feet on the earth with rattles, drums, flutes and sage.
we sang-
we prayed-
we called to the Land,
To the Ancestors
and the Elements
For many days I have spent hours praying.
On the last day before Solstice I went on the hills above Ojai to offer prayers to the Land
While I was there I met a man who takes care of that property. He said 2 weeks before the fires he cut down 50 eucalyptus trees. And then during the fires the fire fighters were stationed right there. That property was their base camp as they protected our town from the flames.
So glad spirit led me to that place.
