As woman, we are the ones who create the ceremony around our moon cycles, our femininity, and our connection to the Earth Mother.  One of the biggest initiations in our lives is when we first receive our moon.  Preparing a young woman for her first moon is an important job.  When a young woman begins to bleed, she enters a new phase of her life, one where she is able to create life and give birth to another soul.  Through a woman’s body she brings a soul from the spirit realm into existence on planet earth.  Receiving this ability, as demonstrated by her first moon is an important time and initiation right to be honored.

If you are interested in working with young woman around this topic I suggest creating ceremony and Sacred Space.  Offering a white flower to the Mother Earth during the full moon is a wonderful way to honor this time.  She offers a flower to the earth because she herself is a flower that has not fully blossomed.  When she begins to bleed then she can begin to offer some of her blood to the earth.

To create a ceremony around this, bring her outside under the moon with you.  Smudge her with your favorite cleansing herb such as Sage, Paulo Santo, Copal etc.  Invoke your guides and her guides/angels/helpers to be present with you.  Connect into your womb space, and the womb space of your mother and all the mothers that have come before you.  Asking them for their strength and guidance.  Then connect with her womb.  You are transferring the healing and the knowledge from your womb to her womb.  This is some of the most important work we can do as woman on this planet.  This will bring about healing of the feminine, healing of the womb space, healing for the collective of the disempowerment and mistreatment of the feminine.

A Native American elder once said, “Women are created spiritually different than men.  The womb inside each woman is connected to the womb at the center of the Earth.”

As we consciously connect our wombs to the Earth Mother, we can begin to heal the womb space on a deeper level.  Allow what is no longer serving us to be released into the earth and welcome in the healing powers of Mother Earth into our wombs.
